Together with our range of bespoke souvenirs, you will find a small and unique selection of items made by some of our volunteers, that feature some of the remaining pieces of cloth woven here at Home Mills and of course our famous hand knitted mice.  

We’d like to keep the craft of weaving alive in Trowbridge, and a few of us have been weaving small batches of cloth on rigid heddle looms.

Inspired by the museum’s collection of sample books of woven cloth from the towns mills and using a palette of five colours to create a variety of effects, our volunteers have experimented with different techniques to create bookmarks and other small items.
