Engaging, inspiring and challenging workshops and activities for all

We have a range of engaging, enjoyable and challenging cross-curricular workshops for Early Years through to Key Stage 2, and can put together tailored workshops for Key stage 3 and above. All of our activities are easily adapted as outreach, home school and SEN sessions. Each workshop includes various stimulating activities such as object handling, dressing up and crafts and make full use of our gallery displays and our extensive handling collections.

From ancient history through to the present day our history workshops give your class the opportunity to explore and learn about life in the past….
If you are focusing on the history of Trowbridge and the local area, we have lots of activities and resources relating to the town’s history, heritage and famous local people such as Thomas Helliker….
Taking the local woollen trade as a starting point and making use of the woollen machinery on display, we have a small selection of STEM activities suitable for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2….
Our collection includes paintings, drawings, prints and graphic design from the C19th and C20th), which focuses on different aspects of textile art and craft….
