Our reminiscence boxes contain a wide range of objects, clothing, images and items of ephemera covering the post-war period to the present day. They are themed around different subjects such as Royalty, Schools, Everyday Life, Childhood and an ideal way of engaging older people and encouraging conversation and reminiscing. Our reminiscence sessions are led by a member of staff with support from volunteers and usually last between 1 and 2 hours. They can be combined with singing and a craft activity and our special Victorian Father Christmas is available in December.
We also offer object-led history talks on a range of topics including Romans, Victorian Life WW1, which are given by the Learning and Outreach Officer in appropriate period costume. Prices are very affordable and discounts are available if you make a block booking of 3 or more sessions. Please contact David Birks on 01225 751339 or email david.birks@trowbridge.gov.uk.
