Join us and be a part of Trowbridge Museum Supporters Club!
This is a brand new initiative for us at Trowbridge Museum – a supporters club for individuals and families that will help the museum develop and grow.
We will do our absolute best to make it rewarding and interesting, by sharing our news and aspects of our work, and will let you ‘see’ items from the stores and archive, as well as other ‘behind the scenes’ activities.
The funds that we raise from our supporters club will help us with projects that our budgets cannot stretch too.
Such as:
• Improving the air conditioning on the top floor gallery
• Digitising the archives and history files
We are very fortunate to still be a free entry museum, and as a member of the museum supporter club you will also enjoy the exclusive benefits below.
Supporter Club Benefits
Newsletters
You will receive a special newsletter three times a year just for supporter club members. Each edition will have a theme that reflects the seasons and gives a focus for the content. We will feature items from the collection, stories about the town and the woollen cloth industry together with themed puzzles. You will also find information about some of the projects we are working on and behind the scenes insights. There will be a simple and inventive seasonal craft project for you to try at home, to give as a gift or keep for yourself, and we would love you to share photos of the things you have made.
Free tea or coffee treat – once a month
As a supporter, you will be given a card to claim a free beverage of your choice once a month, on any day and time that suits you. Simply present your card to the front of house team (on the day you choose to come in) to be date stamped and then enjoy your drink!
Bimonthly Emails
Every eight weeks we will send you a chatty message, about life in the museum and news of what we have been doing and what is coming up and links to vlogs about the daily behind the scenes life of the museum and team.
Special Supporter Club Events
Invitation to two social events a year – one in the summer and another later in the year. These will be either an illustrated talk, crafting demonstration, or an opportunity to get up close and delve into the archive and collections store. There will always be time for a chat and to enjoy light refreshments too.
Supporters will also receive advance notice about the museums events with priority booking, and invitations to new exhibition launches.
Supporter Club Welcome Pack
When you join up, we will give you a little pack of information so you to feel like part of the gang straight away! It will include our current events and activities leaflet, the most recent edition of the Supporter Club newsletter, a special fabric button badge made by us from pieces of cloth woven at Home Mills and a souvenir fridge magnet.
Supporter Club Annual subscription rates:
Individual £15.00
Two People at the same address £25.00
Stumpy Family Club £25.00 (two adults and up to three children at the same address)
Stumpy Family Club – Additional Child £5.00 each
Download a joining form here for a Word version. Once complete you can email the form to us, pop it in the post or bring it to the museum in person. There are three ways to pay: by bank transfer, cash or card in the shop in the museum.
