We have a programme of fascinating talks on various aspects of local history, ranging from Wiltshire’s white horses to the lesser known story of Jack Northeast. The talks start at 7pm. The cost of the talk includes wine and nibble. Please book through Ticketsource or come in to the museum.
Sir Isaac Pitman – Helen Montague Smith talks about Trowbridge’s most famous son – Isaac Pitman – the inventor of Pitman Shorthand who was knighted in 2894. There will also be a selection of Pitman items from the collection on hand.
Please note : the Shires ASDA entrance will be open from 6pm-7pm please arrive promptly as the doors will close at 7pm and there will be no entry after this time. Talks will last about 1 hour and a half. Please park on the top level of the ASDA car park as it is 24 hour parking
