Join us for a fun, relaxed monthly open session of crafting and socialising! These sessions are specially designed for adults with learning disabilities, alone or accompanied by a support worker or carer. Our projects are thoughtfully planned to support a wide variety of abilities. Every month features a brand-new theme inspired by art, history, or the seasons—and because we provide all the materials, you can just focus on having fun! Below are the details for our first run of sessions:
Tuesday 15th September 10:30-11:30am- Art – create a shield keyring inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry and create your own burlap tapestry
Tuesday 20th October 10:30-11:30am- Seasonal – Create your own seasonal picture using leaf and nature printing techniques
Tuesday 17th November 10:30-11:30am- History – Design and create you own Roman inspired mosaic coaster
Tuesday 15th December 10:30-11:30am- Festive Exhibition related – Get in the festive mood by creating your own set of pinecone Yule Lads and a yarn wrapped Yule Goat
