Trowbridge Museum’s reminiscence service is available for use by care and residential homes, sheltered housing, independent living accommodation and any older peoples groups.
We have a range of memory boxes containing a amazing selection of artefacts, and images, clothing, hats and other period ephemera, which can be used in outreach sessions or as loans boxes. They are packed full of stimulating things and are great for encouraging conversation between residents, carers and families. Each memory boxes represents a different post-war decade, and we have some which cover the the period 1940’s to 1969, as well as a box containing objects from the 1930’s. We can also put together loan’s boxes for a specific subject, e.g. school, toys and games or WW2 – costs are the same as for the standard boxes.

Trowbridge or you can run your own session in the museum for just £25 +VAT.
The memory boxes are available for hire for £25 +VAT for a month, and longer loans are available by arrangement. Please note that all boxes must be collected and returned by the loanee.
